Wimbledon Restaurant & Bar is situated in the Tennis Club Slávia Právnik in Bratislava located near Veľký Draždiak lake. The restaurant had a long history and was a favorite spot for all tennis lovers who regularly visited the place, but also for people enjoying their time near the lake. In 2019, the place was renovated by its new owner with sincere interest in good quality food and love for tennis.
Wimbledon commissioned us to make a visual identity for their new brand that would communicate their passion for tennis, the respect for the tennis club where many famous Slovak tennis players were coached, and also love for high quality food. We developed a modern identity with a playful visual expression. A new logotype and colors created a flexible toolbox that could be easily applied across all brand’s visual communication.

A positive flow, playfulness and simplicity inspired the concept behind the new visual identity. The purpose was to find a balance between evocative tennis and food symbolism and clarity.
To establish the new positioning of the well-known restaurant through its visual identity, we embraced its history, renown and we also focused on stories of people connected with the place in some way, particularly famous Slovak tennis players. We used symbols for tennis and food, and we interconnected them to create a simple and elegant design.

A wooden floor in vintage style was selected in order to refer to restaurant’s long tennis history. The installation of the vintage tennis rackets, which many famous tennis players played with in the past, as well as small lights create an inviting and playful environment.
